The current resurgence in Nandi and by extent Kalenjin nationalism requires that we right some slanted and jaundiced scholarship which informed the imperial domineers about our cultures and political structures. In a bid to lay bare their misinformation and branding of anything African as 'pumbavu', we have a solemn duty as sons and daughters of these communities to put the records straight. I have held the idea that the Bororiet system was a form of what is known in modern politics as political parties and not merely cattle-rustling organisational units as alleged by the foreigners.

Please be warned, ladies and gentlemen that there is, in the loose, a VERY serious virus which comes, yes, attached as a picture of the ODM-K luminary and presidential front-runner Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga aka Agwambo aka Tinga. The virus comes as a JPEG picture of Raila and instals itself on the recipient's computer. It could also come with other document attachments originating from Kenya or persons who have picked mail from a Kenyan IP. Once installed, a slide on Raila for Presidency comes on the screen and won't get out no matter what. It duplicates all documents and sooner they won't open.

The Nandi, and by extension the Kalenjin never walked nacked. Nor were items of dress not without the decorations that we know to characterise any items of dress. The following list was borrowed from Gotab Gaa Foundation with editing to reflect the Nandi phonetic or spelling variations. Is there anything that is left out that should be here? Some of the items of dress could form a promising tourist business and it is hoped that some kind of extravaganza and/or annual parades will be organised in future for our people to show-case their traditional attire and heritage. These could be staged at the cultural headquarters of the Nandi at Kapng'etuny (pesent day Nandi Hills). Such annual events are witnessed here in Germany from time to time and we should never be ashamed of our past!
