The Kipkenda clan is the clan of the busy bee. It is associated with the Matelong family and other minor families. In Nandi country, the Kipkenda clan is the most populous, which makes the Matelong family the most dominant family.

The Matelong family has been expanding with each new day. Our sons are marrying into the family while our daughters have been married by others. The family is spread in the Nandi diaspora as well as abroad. We have the Matelong family in Uganda and some information indicates that the Matelong family is proudly represented in Zaire!
